@trashdashboard basically hal is a really smart guy who shields himself behind sarcasm and intellect so much that he basically ceases to exist as a person and becomes more of a input/output box of stimulus if you know what i mean. eventually for ambiguous reasons he finally flesh-and-bones himself but all of his attempts at interfacing with people appear as mammalian guttural screams and generally unnatural movements. and then he dies i think
