ive never seen black people painted in a positive light in any of the indian movies ive watched. maybe it's because i dont really watch movies, especially not indian movies. however, all of the movies with white people in them have depicted them as "high class" or "sophisticated", and all of the movies with black people in them showed them as "gangsters" or "criminals". im blaming the british colonisers for the whole "dark skin = "low class" and lighter skin = "elegant"" bullshit i still see in india today
